Jake is the only child of Singaporean socialite and equestrienne Cecilia Cheng and Tony Moncur, an Australian businessman. His mother is accused of spending more time with her horses than with Jake, leaving him under the care of his Filipina nannies. As a result, he has become fluent in Tagalog. He is also known for his singing voice, especially for his Frank Sinatra impression. It is rumored that he dreams of running away to Manila with his nanny so he can compete in the World Karaoke Championships.
