Kerry Chu (nee Ching) is a secondary character in the Crazy Rich Asians trilogy by Kevin Kwan. She is the mother of Rachel Chu.

Kerry was born in a village in Guangdong province, China and married young. Her husband treated her badly. She found support from a neighbour, Kao Wei, and she became pregnant with his baby. Fearing for her life and her baby if her husband learned of her infidelity, she ran away with relatives that help her immigrate to the United States.
In the United States, she moved around the country from job to job, trying to earn enough to provide for her daughter. She was finally settled in California where she was able to obtain her Real Estate License and a permanent job.
In China Rich Girlfriend, she reconnected with Kao Wei, now known as Bao Gaoling, and revealed to him that they have a daughter together. She was shocked and immediately started talking to him.
